A new teaching and aquatics facility founded on reworked river-terrace ground.
Placeholder copy. The Riverbend Campus Science Block pairs laboratory teaching space with a competition aquatics centre on a constrained river-terrace site. Variable made ground and a shallow water table drove an early ground-investigation programme, which shaped a piled foundation solution and a stiffened raft beneath the pool tank. Structural and geotechnical teams shared one model from concept, keeping the frame and the ground solution aligned through value engineering.
